On 28th May 2012, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey said: “the Pentagon is ready for the option of military intervention to end the violence in Syria”.

It took them over 16 months to say that, which indicates that the West is afraid of real change in Syria unlike the change of face that occurred in other parts of the Arab world. I say let the people of Syria decide it’s own future. They do not want the solution of Tunisia, Libya, Yemen and Egypt.

IS THIS FREE SPEECH? SUBSTITUTE the word Muslims with Blacks, Irish, Jews or Hindus and then see if this sign is really funny:

U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton condemning the ruling of the second conviction of jailed oil and gas tycoon Mikhail Khodokovsky, saying that it raised “serious questions about selective prosecution and about the rule of law being overshadowed by political considerations.”

Mr Khodorkovsky is a billionaire who posed a challenge to Vladimir Putin during his presidency. So in many ways this conviction seen as personal.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday fired back at U.S. and European criticism, telling Western leaders to mind their own business.

How sweet is it to see the US and other Western nations expressing their concern and outrage over this trial on Russian Soil. YET the silence which is almost deafening over the Guantanamo detainees facing their 10th year with charge or trail.

Well done! for yet another double standard foreign policy and the world cowering to the bullies.

Steven Green, a former American solider serving 5 life terms for raping a 14 year old Iraqi girl and killing her parents and sister admits that he thought iraqi civilians were not human. All this because of what he says crimes fuelled by experiences in iraq’s violent ‘Triangle of Death’ where two of his sergeants were gunned down.

Green said those deaths ‘messed me up real bad.’ ‘There’s not a word that would describe how much I hated these people,’ Green said. ‘I wasn’t thinking these people were humans.’

Green after the killing of his sergeants, talked frequently of wanting to kill Iraqis.

The following is an extract taken from the Daily Mail newspaper. ‘At the Iraqi home, Barker and Cortez pulled Abeer into one room, while Green held the mother, father and youngest daughter in another.

Pfc. Jesse V. Spielman, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, stood guard in the hall. As Barker and Cortez raped the teen, Green shot the three family members, killing them.

He then went into the next room and raped Abeer, before shooting her in the head. The soldiers lit her remains on fire before leaving. Another soldier stood watch a few miles away at the checkpoint.’

You can read the full article here.

If this is the trauma and after shock that a trained solider can feel; can you imagine how the ordinary Iraqi civilian must feel. How they have to live each day watching the foreign occupiers, raping their land of resources and whatever they can.

The war in Iraq, is an illegal occupation that has no standing in international law. The war must end now; the foreign troops must evacuate and allow the Iraqi’s to decide their own future.

Wikileaks is a non-profit, non-government organisation which believes that transparency forces governments to act responsibly. Here are the latest leaks:

1: Corruption within the Afghan government, with concerns heightened when a senior official was found to be carrying more than $50m in cash on a foreign trip:

At least now we know where all the money is being spent when it comes to War On Terror (WOT). People are just being bought out to fight America’s war. Soldiers and innocent people are dying to remove one corrupt government to another.

2: Bargaining to empty the Guantanamo Bay prison camp – including Slovenian diplomats being told to take in a freed prisoner if they wanted to secure a meeting with President Barack Obama:

So this is how America deals with it’s mistakes; by bartering for seats next to Obama. Maybe they should have opened an e-bay account. They might have got better offers from other satellite nations.

3: Germany being warned in 2007 not to enforce arrest warrants for US Central Intelligence Agency officers involved in an operation in which an innocent German citizen with the same name as a suspected militant was abducted and held in Afghanistan:

This sounds like a scene from the film Godfather.

4: US officials being instructed to spy on the UN’s leadership by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:

Wow we all knew that the UN was an extension of American foreign policy tool but this only illustrate how trusting America is of her Allies.

5: The very close relationship between Russian PM Vladimir Putin and his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi Alleged links between the Russian government and organised crime:

Ahh, yet another scene from a gangster movie where one mobster belittles another.

6: Yemen’s president talking to then US Mid-East commander General David Petraeus about attacks on Yemeni al-Qaeda bases and saying: “We’ll continue saying the bombs are ours, not yours” Faltering US attempts to prevent Syria from supplying arms to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

This comes as a surprise! NOT. This is not the first time nor will it be the last time where America will keep funding and supplying both sides of the war.

So what is the response from American administration, the so called leaders of the democratic world? Hilary Clinton argues that “This disclosure is not just an attack on America’s foreign policy interests,” she continues to say that “It is an attack on the international community: the alliances and partnerships, the conversations and negotiations that safeguard global security and advance economic prosperity.”

If this is not enough the French President Nicolas Sarkozy argues that the website was a “threat to democracy”.

Here is my final comment: ‘Democracy = Hypocrisy’

It’s thanksgiving in America today which is celebrated on the last Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful, dutiful to god, although it has now become more of secular celebration. So what is the story behind this? Long story cut short is that the Plymouth colonists (also known as the pilgrims) and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast to celebrate a successful harvest. After that for more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November and President Frankiln D. Roosvelt approved it in congress 1941 to be held on the last Thursday in November. My only question left to ask is ‘I wonder if the indigenous people of America celebrate Thanksgiving?’
