I have spent 9 years in Pakistan and then 22 years in the UK moving from London to Bradford. Since then Jordan has been our home for the past year and a half. Having moved from the UK, we have had to adjust to life in Amman.  Just when we feel settled, it is time to move on. My wife and I will be embarking on a new adventure to Egypt very soon. My wife on the other hand has spent 15 years in Bahrain and 4 years in Qatar and then 10 years in the UK.

Where do we call our home? As the saying goes ‘where I lay my head is home’. This is true for us. Our experiences has forced us to challenge this backward notion of national identity and a sence of belonging to a particular part of the world and calling it my own.

I say the world is ours and lets work on living together. So wasapninworld?

So why the name ‘wasapninworld’? Well to cut a long story short I grew up in the East End of London and the people there have a habit of eating words. So ‘What is happening world’ very easily becomes ‘wasapnin world’. Hence the name.
